Participants comments
Selected comments from participants about what they liked about their experience with SAET:
- SAET and their staff were extremely helpful in trying to resolve my matter even when the other party was being difficult. I wasn’t happy with my settlement but was very happy with SAET’s handling of it.
- I felt like the case was taken serious (sic) and I was treated fairly and was respected.
- Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback. Overall, my experience was professional and the process was handled in a structured and respectful manner. I appreciate the opportunity to be heard.
Selected comments about what SAET could have done to improve participants experience:
- Make the website as easy as possible to follow and provide information for people with limited understanding to understand the process and steps of the work cover process to reduce anxiety and depression in workers going through a challenging time.
- The process was confusing and took quite some time with several adjournments. The result was not in our best interests
- SAET conciliation more often than not in my experience is drawn out unnecessarily. When matters escalate beyond conciliation a number of tribunal members appear very biased toward to the employee. There is a lack of balance in the management of matters
Future surveys
Whilst SAET has achieved an overall positive result from the 2025 survey, there remain opportunities for improvement. The Have Your Say survey will continue in 2026.
